The role: 

Working for Symal Contractors as a Senior Project Engineer, you will help lead and deliver complex civil packages, predominately for Tier 1 & 2 building clients across Melbourne.

Self-perform experience with a similar business is ESSENTIAL for this role.

If you have worked in delivering civil / structures scopes, this background will be looked upon favorably.

Your impact: 

Bringing your self-performing expertise to the team, you will aid in an efficient delivery process and one that is safe and on time.

Your every day: 

  • Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete.
  • Leading and supporting a strong safety culture.
  • Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track.
  • Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.

Who are you? 

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering or project management.
  • A proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects and leading teams with a successful outcome regarding the above KRA’s.
  • Effective communication with clients, consultants management & on-site personnel.
  • Understanding of HSE/QA compliance.
  • Ability to travel regionally when needed.
  • Minimum of 6+ years' experience.
